SUPPORT / DOWNLOAD INSTRUCTIONS

The process of downloading files may vary, depending on certain factors (i.e. browser "plug-ins," etc.). To begin the download process, click on the telemet_orion8.exe link. You may be asked to specify the files' download destination ahead of time. If so, save the file anywhere on your hard drive; remember to write down the file location. TeleVista users will also need to install the Telemet Quote Service Self Extractor the first time they load TeleVista.

Note:  After the setup file has been run - by double clicking on it (it has the extension "exe"), it will no longer be needed. You can delete the file.

Have you forgotten where you saved the setup file? Locate the  file in one of several ways:

• Go to your task bar and select "Start - Search " Type "File Name" in the "All or part of the file name: " field in the Search Results tab. Single-click the Search button. The file should be found. Double-click on the file..or
• Go to Windows Explorer. Locate the file and double-click on it. The file should run..

Now that you have begun to run the file, follow these additional steps:

1. Follow the prompts during the installation process*. We recommend you accept the default settings defined by Telemet, but you will need to specify the login type, either registration number or login ID. Once installation is complete, notice the "Telemet" icon (shortcut) that has been created and placed on your desktop.
2. Double-click the "Telemet" icon. The “Orion Mgr” & the “System Setup” windows will appear.
3. Type your Login ID and Password (or Registration Number and User ID)** in the spaces provided in the “System Setup” window and click the “OK” button. The “System Setup” window will close, and a window will appear that will ask if you want to Log on to the server. Click Yes.
4. A default "workspace" has been created and will appear upon connection to the Telemet service.

That's it! You're on your way!

*The setup file is self-extracting and will install itself in the default directory (C:\TELEMET) or any directory you specify. Simply follow the install prompts. This file will also create a “shortcut” on your desktop and a program group (go to "Start - Programs - Telemet"), both called "Telemet."

**Once the software has been installed:
Telemet Orion Users: A valid Registration Number and a User ID must be entered to start the program.
