SUPPORT / UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

The process of downloading files may vary, depending on certain factors (i.e. browser "plug-ins," etc.). To begin the download process, click on the telemet_orion8.exe link. You may be asked to specify the files' download destination ahead of time. If so, save the file anywhere on your hard drive; remember to write down the file location.

Note:  After the setup file has been run - by double clicking on it (it has the extension "exe"), it will no longer be needed. You can delete the file.

  1. Close Telemet Orion and Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click on the Telemet Orion link (telemet_orion8.exe) above to download the software. Make sure you save the file to your computer. Download times may vary depending upon speed of your connection.
  3. Once the Telemet Setup file has downloaded, run it (by double clicking) to begin the upgrade. Click Next on the welcome screen.
  4. Choose ‘Standalone – Update Program Only’ as the installation type. Click Next.
  5. Confirm that the listed ‘Destination Location’ is the correct current location of Orion. Click Next.
  6. Choose to install or not install TeleVista and other optional files and then click Next.
  7. Confirm the location where Orion’s Excel templates will be stored. Click Next.
  8. Confirm the summary of the install settings and click Next to begin the upgrade. All customized Orion screens and files will be backed up to the /Telemet/Orionbkp folder and then the upgrade will begin.
  9. Click Finish.
